I am very happy to be publishing Harvest, as this is the thriller that first made Tess a crime-writing star: the novel that broke her through to New York Times bestsellerdom in 1996.

It has a new introduction by the author, in which she talks about how, before Jane Rizzoli, and before Maura Isles, there was the heroine of this book - Abby DiMatteo: a young doctor, immersed in the grinding procedures of surgical training, when she discovers a terrifying crime.

Although one of her earlier novels, Harvest bears all the trademarks of Tess's later bestsellers: strong, sympathetic characters, suspense so sharp as to be almost unbearable, and a page-turning hold-your-breath read.
